On the west side of Counterpoint Estates is the popular and spacious Commons Park. Kayakers enjoy the 19-acre lake, while kids play on the splash pads and playground. Athletes and dog parents take advantage of the green space, where an outdoor arena is always hosting different bands. There are also a few smaller parks on the water, including Lakeside Challenger Park – which memorializes the astronauts who died in the Challenger space shuttle – and Penzance Park – a smaller lot with a play area and a fishing dock.
