Named after Brigadier General William Houston Jackson and Army Barracks builder William Vance, the community offers a variety of housing styles, sizes and price points. “Being in these subdivisions and gated communities is what brings the residents to the area,” says Michael McCall, central Texas native and Realtor with Life in San Antonio Texas Home Group. “They enjoy the amenities specific to where they live, but still have the option to venture out.” The neighborhood is located near downtown, the Medical Center, San Antonio International Airport and the University of Texas San Antonio, putting residents near major employers. Large shopping malls and highly rated local schools in the Northside Independent School District add to the area’s appeal.
