A blend of the country and city
Wide open space surrounded by an urban utopia – welcome to Westavia. Wonderfully weaving country and city together, Westavia treats residents to a rural lifestyle with a bustling downtown and suburban amenities in every direction. Located in Semmes, a city in southwest Mobile County near the Gulf Coast, newcomers will love having plenty of room to spread out, affordability compared to Mobile and the city center and proximity to attractions, necessities and more.
Homes that accentuate Southern charm
Accentuating its Southern charm and character, Westavia is filled with single-family, Colonial-Revivals, sprawling ranch-style homes and charming Creole cottages. Most homes were built in the 1980s, ranging from $140,000 to $325,000. Middle-range priced homes can be found in Franklin Estates subdivision, and higher-end homes with large lots are predominantly in the Ching Dairy Farmettes subdivision. Covered front porches, large pack decks and elegantly paved patios are primed for entertaining guests or relaxing in the peace and quiet. Residents enjoy spacious lots, spanning over 7 acres, and many homes come with fenced-in pastoral yards, expansive storage sheds and barns to keep farm toys. Beautifully landscaped lawns are filled with palm trees, ornamental shrubs and flower beds, reflecting the natural beauty of Semmes. The city is known as the “nursery capital of the world” for its many nurseries and azalea and camellia production. Nurseries are part of the city’s character and charm, and azaleas perfectly pepper the landscape of this quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood’s blanket of mature towering oak trees offers Westavia residents ultimate privacy and tranquility; however, the action isn’t too far away.
