A close-knit community in northwest Ohio
Spanning Fulton and Lucas Counties, the Village of Swanton offers budget-friendly housing, good schools and access to retail and recreational amenities. This small, close-knit community is primarily residential, with a few restaurants and businesses. A three-track railroad runs through the center of town, often letting out a whistle that can be heard throughout the area. Wide, tree-lined streets with sidewalks wind throughout the neighborhood, showcasing small homes with well-maintained lawns. "A lot of horse people live here," says Realtor Joy Studer with the Danberry Company, who lives nearby Perrysburg and teams with husband Jeffrey.

Airport is a 4-mile drive
The Campbell's Soup Company is nearby and employs many locals. There is no public transit nearby, so residents are car-dependent. However, the convenience of the location, with Interstate 80 to the north, makes commuting a breeze. Downtown Toledo is a 29-mile drive via the interstate. "One of the biggest draws about the community is its proximity to the airport," says Realtor Jeffrey Studer with the Danberry Company who has recently sold two homes here. The Toledo Express Airport is a 4-mile drive via Ohio State Route 2. The nearest hospital is McLaren St. Luke's, an 11-mile drive on U.S. Route 20.
