Old-world Florida is alive and well in this lush section of the city, with streets shaded by mature Southern magnolias, live oaks, palmettos and bald cypresses. Properties here are as established as the surrounding greenery, many of which were built in the mid- to late-20th century. The neighborhood features a variety of architectural styles. Midcentury ranch-style houses and bungalows are common, along with eye-catching designs, such as those of Greek, Mission and Colonial Revivals. Lots are lush and typically around are quarter-acre.
