A quiet suburban community outside of Lynchburg

At the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the town of Timberlake offers a quiet, suburban environment on the verge of a rural community. The more than 13,000 residents that call Timberlake home can take in mountain views while being just 10 miles from the bigger city of Lynchburg, where ChapStick was invented. In addition to providing a small-town lifestyle with locally adored cafes and boutiques, this family-friendly Campbell County town has a desirable public school district. “Phil Vassar is from here, as well as Logan Thomas," says Lindsey Sharman, a Timberlake resident and teacher at Campbell County’s Brookville High School. "They both went to Brookville,” referring to the country singer and NFL tight end.
