The communities provide shared amenities, including outdoor pools, perfect for the Arizona heat. Some of the communities offer single-family stand-alone houses, while others have townhouses that share walls. Most properties offer carports or garages to protect residents’ cars from the effects of weather. These communities feature native plant landscaping, with rock or gravel lots and thriving cacti, and each property has a small front yard, offering residents opportunities to tend a small garden. Houses are priced between $300,000 and $450,000, and townhouses are priced starting at $150,000.
After work and school, there are plenty of recreation options for locals in Creekside. Residents head to McCormick Park to enjoy a playground, basketball court, picnic tables with barbeque grills and public restrooms. There’s also Rillito River Park, which borders the primarily dry creek bed and has exercise stations and equestrian access to soft and hard trails. Locals looking for a hike can take the Swan Bridge Trail over the creek bed following the Rillito River. For a different type of entertainment, locals head to Trail Dust Town, south of Creekside. Well-known as a tourist attraction, this Old-West-inspired complex appeals to local kids with attractions including a miniature train and stunt shows. For indoor fun, The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is an interactive and educational museum featuring tiny renditions of famous houses throughout the ages. Locals can spend a day wandering through the many miniature house displays while completing the museum’s scavenger hunt.
Creekside has plenty of dining options for every meal of the day. Locals head to First Watch restaurant for brunch and fresh coffee and then to Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse for dinner. There’s also Noodleholics, offering Asian-inspired noodles served in savory broths with an assortment of toppings. Home cooks will enjoy easy access to Bashas Supermarket on the neighborhood's southeast corner.
Students growing up in the Creekside neighborhood of Tucson may attend schools in the Tucson Unified School District. This school district received a B-minus score from Niche and is known for offering AP and IB classes and a gifted program. A student living in Creekside may attend Davidson Elementary School, rated C-plus by Niche, Doolen Middle School, rated C-plus, and Catalina High School, rated C.
Getting around Tucson is easy with the SunShuttle service provided by the city. Alternatively, locals can drive 4 miles downtown from Creekside via West Grant Road.
