Walmart Neighborhood Market and Albertsons are two options close by for groceries. A Walgreens is in the corner of the neighborhood, convenient for grabbing quick necessities. For more shopping options, Park Place Mall is within 4 miles of most homes and downtown Tucson is just 10 miles away.

Tucson Unified schools within walking distance
Kids in Estes Park attend Tucson Unified School District schools like Gale Elementary School, rated B-plus by Niche and located within the neighborhood; Gridley Middle School, rated B-minus and also located within the neighborhood; and Sahuaro High School, rated B. Sahuaro High offers Career and Technical Education programs in six disciplines like Engineering and Computer Science. Students even have the opportunity to qualify for internships in these fields.

Heading outdoors around Estes Park
Surprisingly, Estes Park doesn’t actually have a park of its own, but it is sandwiched between two neighborhoods with their own parks that residents can get to by car in just a few minutes. Jesse Owens Park offers playground equipment, athletic fields and a public swimming pool with no admission fee. Case Natural Resource Park features gardens and a hummingbird and butterfly sanctuary, making it a good option for nature walks. Of course, there are multiple hiking, biking or horseback riding options nearby in the mountains; one of the entrances to Saguaro National Park is only about 6 miles from home. Even on the rare rainy day or days when residents need to beat the heat, there’s still plenty of recreation around; a movie theater, bowling alley and 24-hour gym are all close to home.

Getting around the greater Tucson area
Residents can catch the local bus at bus stops located at multiple spots around the neighborhood’s borders, particularly along East Broadway Boulevard, South Harrison Road and East 22nd Street. Homeowners in Estes Park are also convenient to Tucson International Airport, about 15 miles away.
