A small town with a lot of housing options
North Vernon residents get to sample both suburban and rural living, as the neighborhood's subdivisions wind through spacious green forests, from Rockville’s downtown into the Connecticut countryside. “North Vernon’s got a lot of greenery,” says Donald Fish, who has been selling property in the area for 57 years and is the owner of the D. W. Fish Real Estate firm. “We’ve got rail trails where people can walk for miles, we’ve got Henry Park, where there’s the Fox Hill Tower, and we’ve got acres of nice green lawns and ballparks.” Further, North Vernon offers a wide array of housing options. “There’s a lot of diversity in terms of homes and prices,” Fish says. “There are trailer homes all the way up to mansions. It’s really an area that’s for everyone.”
