Although Middle Fork itself lacks commercial amenities, residents are a short drive from everyday shopping and dining options. The North Side Shopping Center is just off Route 52, only 3 miles away from the neighborhood, and has a Food Lion grocery store and other retail establishments like Citi Trends, a clothing store, and Roses Express, which sells discount items. Lining Akron Drive across from the shopping center are several fast-food chains such as McDonald’s and Cook Out.
