Lawrence Park, 4 miles from downtown Yonkers and 20 miles from New York City, is an affluent community on the west side of Yonkers on the border of Westchester. A large part of Lawrence Park is made up of winding roadways lined with greenery. The area's large homes and expansive lots tend to be on the pricier side, ranging from $900,000 to over $2.9 million. Lawrence is bordered by four main roadways: Interstate 87, Cross County Parkway, Sprain Brook Parkway and Bronx River Parkway. Both I-87 and Cross County Parkway lead into New York City in under an hour depending on the time of day. To avoid traffic, commuters use the Bronxville or Fleetwood train station, both a mile away, which reach Grand Central Terminal in under an hour on the Harlem Line. The Bronx River Parkway leads 16 miles to LaGuardia Airport. Medical and emergency services are a mile away at New York-Presbyterian Westchester.
