In east Malden, Linden offers convenience for students, nature lovers and Boston commuters. The neighborhood is home to a namesake public school and a portion of the Northern Strand Community Trail, leading to the cordgrass-covered Rumney Marsh Reservation. But it's Linden’s multiple bus stops and location just west of U.S. Route 1 that appeal most to homebuyers. “The Linden bus route goes to the Malden train station, and drivers can get to Boston in like 20 minutes if they leave a little before rush hour,” says Kristin Gennetti, a team leader with Century 21 North East and a Malden resident.
