Suffolk Square is a neighborhood near downtown Malden, a community in the Boston area. “I think the draw here is that we’re just a few miles north of Boston,” says Kristin Gennetti, a Realtor and team leader with the Kristin Gennetti Group, part of Century 21 North East. Convenience is a primary draw here, with access to downtown Malden’s revitalized shops and restaurants, and the greater Boston area thanks to a range of transportation options. “A big part of the appeal here is the proximity to the developing downtown and the ability to walk to so many things,” Gennetti says. In part due to that convenience, the housing market tends to have low inventory and rising appreciation. Housing in Suffolk Square is a mix of varied options. The neighborhood is majority renters by population, and the remaining properties are a mix of single-family homes and condos.
