Marietta, Georgia, located just north of the large metropolis ofAtlanta, is one of the largest and most prominent suburbs in the area. Kool Smiles, a dental support center, is headquartered in Marietta. The expansive and growing Cobb County School District is the largest employer in the city, with nearly 14,000 employees. Other major area employers are the WellStar Kennestone Hospital, the YKK, Alere, Columbian Chemicals, C. W. Matthews Contracting Company, Tip Top Poultry, Marietta City Schools, U.S. Security Associates, and Cobb County.
