Fircrest
A unique characteristic of the City of Fircrest is the 30-plus chainsaw sculptures planted in residents' front yards. According to local lore, the sculptures became a way to deal with the area's abundance of trees. When a tree grew too big or was not wanted, residents would carve it, usually into a bear figure, as an act of partial preservation.
