About West Oak

West Oak is our newest community in Northwest Ocala with approximately 200 lots total. We are next to the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park that features multiple-paved walking trails with benches to relax and enjoy the view. We are minutes away from fine dining, shopping, golf and entertainment. The World Equestrian Center is a short drive away where you can enjoy weekly events from Barrel Racing to Horse Jumping, Western and Breed Shows. We have multiple 18-hole golf courses in the area, and if you care to, you can walk 18 at the Municipal Course, if you want some added exercise. Juniper Springs is a great place to take the family for a picnic and some cool water swimming. We have the Silver Springs State Park where you can rent a kayak to cruise down the lazy river and enjoy the fish and wildlife or take a cruise on the World Famous Glass Bottom Boats. The Appleton Museum and the Ocala Civic Theater are close by for a show or viewing fine art. For a quick exit from town, we are minutes away from I-75 for a trip on the turnpike to Orlando, North to Gainesville and Georgia or South to the Tampa and the Clearwater beaches. We are centrally located between Daytona Beach on the East Coast or Cedar Key on the West Coast. We have plenty to do so come aboard!

Schools

Source:
GreatSchools: The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
