Surrounded by sandy beaches and palm trees, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, offers many different styles of homes. Located on the central east coast of Florida, the city has a variety of housing options, such as condominiums and multi-family dwellings. While a potential homeowner can find four-bedroom mansions, there also are more affordable two-bedroom homes.
New Smyrna Beach is a mid-sized costal city consisting of 10 constituent neighborhoods, and it is the 118th largest community in Florida. Hiking trails and playgrounds are plentiful in this area, and residents do not have to go far to find places for a family picnic. There are many recreational opportunities in New Smyrna Beach, such as fishing, sailing, golfing, scuba diving and surfing. In 2012, National Geographic Magazine named the city one of the world’s top 20 surf towns.
New Smyrna Beach is home to about 23,500 residents. The city offers a mix of service and professional occupations. Employment includes sales jobs, office work and management occupations. The city offers a variety of government jobs. To take care of the health needs of residents, there are jobs available for workers in the medical field, such as home care nurses, registered nurses and physical therapists. Many of the city’s schools need to fill positions. Some of the jobs available in the academic sector are lead teachers, special education teachers and school activity assistants. Since the city is near the Atlantic Ocean, there is a need for workers to help construct boats.
