Parks with sports courts, riverside trails and corner churches paint a family-friendly picture in Northwest Pocatello. The neighborhood is north of the city’s historic downtown and south of the city of Chubbuck, a regional shopping destination. “This is more the suburbs of the city [of Pocatello]” says Julie Hill, a broker who grew up in the area and works for Signature Real Estate. She notes that while prices are higher here than downtown, it’s still considered a starter-home market. “Our more step-up properties are on the east side, in the Highland area of Pocatello or South Pocatello,” Hill says. She adds another draw is the larger lot sizes and newer homes, especially compared to the downtown area. While overall suburban, Northwest Pocatello is home to an industrial park and an FBI data center. The neighborhood is also well connected to wider Pocatello and Idaho through a network of highways. Subdivisions range from manicured to rustic, with cracks in the sidewalks and different styles of fencing on one street. Some also have a country feeling with open spaces between homes, vegetable gardens and RVs parked in the driveway. “They have all been developed at different times, so
