This 87.45-acre property is located approximately 1 mile north of Indian Crossing,
Pennsylvania. It is adjacent to New York State and it shares its northern boundary with the
southern boundary of New York State. It can be accessed via an old logging road that
branches off of Barnum Road in Eldred, Pennsylvania, or it can also be accessed by logging
roads that enter the property from the north in New York State. These access roads travel
throughout the property but may need some upgrades as they are starting to carry water.
The property is well-marked with red blazes and pink tape on the west, south,
and north boundary lines. A survey was done in 2017 to mark the East line.
Depending on which property map you look at, there is a federally recognized stream that
runs through this property along the eastern edge.
Timber Condition: Clear-cut in 2008+-, this property is practically all sapling growth and
hemlock. The only section that deviates is about 7 acres on the northern border comprised of 12” maples. Along the eastern boundary there is 15 acres that contain larger saplings and a handful of 12” ash and maple. The remaining 65 acres contain dense saplings.
