Additionally, this ranch has 5 windmill and 5 solar panel wells dispersed throughout in conjunction with several small wetlands to help ensure cattle are well watered. The Northern part of the ranch is relatively flat with gentle rolls. As you traverse Southward, the terrain morphs into bigger hills with some small interspersed wetlands in the valleys, and ends with larger dunes in the Southwest. The ranch has been cross fenced allowing you to manage grazing pressure or separate off specific desired animals. A variety of warm and cool season grasses such as sand dropseed, sand bluestem, prarie sandreed, needle and thread grass, wheatgrass, sand lovegrass, and gramma grass allow for efficient and effective grazing from early spring through the fall. Furthermore, the pivot may allow you to extend your grazing once the crop is harvested if desired.
The crop ground sits at the end of the main drive and comes complete with a Case 6591T 6 cylinder diesel motor and a roughly 8 year old T-L pivot. The dominant soil type is Dunday loamy fine sand with Valentine & Wildhorse fine sand rounding out the remaining acres. A local producer has been renting the pivot and for the last two years has grown corn, while the prior years have been alfalfa production. This pivot is not subject to any pumping restrictions and has a flowmeter on it to record the number of gallons pumped which is collected every October. The well registration is G-074913 and shows that it is an 8 well with a pump rate of 950GPM.


Recreation

The abundance of food sources and many water tanks provide ambush locations to attempt to harvest one of the few antelope that call this ranch home, while the upland bird hunter can wander in search of one of the several groups of sharp-tail grouse.

The ranch is located approximately 12 miles South of Alliance, NE on HWY 385 at the unincorporated town of Bonner, NE. Alliance is 4 hours from Denver, CO, and 3 hours from the Black Hills in South Dakota. Alliance is host to a regional airport, farm equipment dealerships, feed and grain suppliers, lodging, and several eateries. Alliance is the home of the popular tourist attraction, Carhenge, a replica of the English Stonehenge, and is also where the Nebraska Stock Growers Association began back in 1889.
