About This Home
As of April 2024This cute "dollhouse" was completely reconfigured and remodeled in 2016. Taken down to the studs and joists, the home has a lot of new metal framing, reinforcing the original studs and a steal beam giving the floor additional support. New insulation was installed throughout the house. The roof was completely torn off including the sheathing and replaced with new sheathing and 40 year shingles. Two exterior doors were replaced and a new exterior doorway was added for easy access to the back yard. Gutter Guards were added in 2018. The original enclosed front porch was removed and rebuilt, including four brand new windows, giving the living room added space. The stairs were replaced with new, wider stairs making it easier to move furniture up to the bedroom. A large coat/ storage closet was added under the steps. Waterproof vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the house. All new plumbing was installed using a manifold system allowing for each water using item to have it's own individual shut off valve so if a repair needs to be made to the kitchen faucet, only the kitchen faucet supply has to be turned off. New hot water heater was installed. The electric service was replaced and upgraded to 200 AMP service. All new duct work and new HVAC system installed. The kitchen was enlarged and a garbage disposal and dishwasher were added, as well as a new stove and refrigerator, upgraded cabinets, granite counter tops and a new window overlooking the backyard while standing at the sink. Recessed led lighting was installed, and the creation of a combination laundry room/half bath with washer and gas dryer included, and cabinets complete the first floor. The second floor boasts the bedroom and a large full bathroom. The bathroom has an extra deep shower/tub combination, vanity with side drawers and under cabinet storage space. The exhaust fan also has a light and heat fan to keep a person warm while getting out of the shower. The non-use attic was eliminated giving the bedroom a cathedral ceiling. The small basement is home to the hot water heater, HVAC system, and new french drain system and sump pump. The basement is accessed through a bilco door in the back yard. The basement light is turned on with a switch inside the house making it easier to see without having to go in the basement first. There is a new 4' high fence along the front of the property enabling the yard to be kept somewhat secluded. Located within walking distance to the shops downtown and close to major highways and shopping.
