Located at the southern side of the Lake Ashokan reservoir, this location is ideal just a few minutes from the Thruway. The “Crafts People” store is only a couple of miles away. Woodstock Village with its fabulous restaurants, art displays, and music is just 8 miles away. Kingston with its theaters and shopping is about 10 miles away. Skiing at Belleayre or Hunter is just a half hour further up the valley into the mountains. It is close to natural wonders of the Lake Ashokan reservoir spillway and gorge, fishing on the Esopus Creek and the Lake Ashokan, biking and hiking on many trails both level and mountain. Golf and other outdoor activities are nearby. Boating, fishing, hiking, biking are all convenient with the lake Ashokan reservoir and the Esopus Creek. The nearby NYC-DEP land is across street with short trails to shore of Lake Ashokan. Keep a fishing boat on the reservoir with a NY-DEP Permit and enjoy rowing around and fishing on the enormous two basin of Lake Ashokan. Note that a permit from NYC-DEP is required for pedestrian access, fishing, and for the rowboat. There are many miles of biking and jogging trails around the reservoir and nearby mountains.
