The cannonball embedded in a downstairs fireplace dates from this period. The current owners purchased the property in 2001 and set about artfully restoring and renovating every inch of the house and its gardens. A large addition was built to the rear of the house to accommodate an up-to-date (yet appropriately aged) kitchen, a second floor sitting room and a studio bedroom on the third floor.
