School is out and the summer heat is on my back. I’m riding my bike fast down the hill towards the house. I burst through the door, feet pounding on the WOOD FLOORS. The A/C cools me slightly as I make my way to the kitchen. The GRANITE COUNTER TOPS are covered in snacks. How did she know I was coming? The STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES are so shiny, but not for long. My sticky fingers reach for the refrigerator door, and I dive in for a refreshing drink, a Capri-son. I run to my parents’ bedroom, “their sanctuary for the summer” so I’m told. I walk in to find my mother in the master bath by one of their SEPARATE MASTER CLOSETS. The SEPARATE VANITY SINKS, holds all of the things I can’t touch, so I stay away. Doorbell rings and I make way towards the ARCHED WOODED FRONT DOOR. Time to go back outside.
