The house was also featured in a magazine during that time stating that it was only one of two buildings safe enough for missle strikes in all of central Kansas, making it ideal for a perfect tornado shelter, explaining why the main floor foundation is cement. And the reason we know that is because we know the original family that lived here. Might make the house more appealing....especially with families with kids. -also, the entire half acre has 4 different water spouts for water access.
