Banner Elk is a quaint mountain town located 30 minutes from Boone, home to Appalachian State University. The Blue Ridge Parkway traverses the county just six miles from town. Smoking is not allowed. Quiet hours begin at 10 pm as some neighbors live in Banner Elk full-time. Please be courteous. AWD or 4x4 is highly recommended while visiting during winter months. There is no daily housekeeping service, and while linens are included, daily maid service is not part of the rental rate.
