This home, with its timeless white siding (you don't fall for color fads - all your friends with the avocado green siding wish they had white) perfectly complemented by stately gray shutters and solid gray cement foundation. It's subtle color mastery that can only be achieved by the most savvy architectural designers or maybe Picasso. So friend, you're in good company. For a bit of playful accent, the stout wood railings and expansive wood deck out back add a cedar tone red hue to the already spectacular exterior effect. But enough on the outside, unless you just plan on camping in the backyard and using the house as a piece of lawn art (and could we blame you?). The entry is magically separated from the living room by a half-wall, and this isn't done by accident. The half-wall allows you to see, from the couch, who is coming to visit. You'll know what hat they are wearing, if they've trimmed their beard or wore that t-shirt you bought them on the last minute fling you took to Fargo this past winter (finding a t-shirt in Fargo during winter isn't easy either). The half wall also blocks any cold breezes coming in from the front door. You won't know if guests are wearing pants or socks, or if the visitors are less than 3' tall, you might miss then, but you can't have it all as they say. Now, the white marble looking ceramic tile doesn't just stop at the front door. It's like a fairy tale river of happiness that flows perfectly through the dining area right into the kitchen. Muddy, giddy Pixies could run in the front door and right out the back without ever getting little muddy footprints on the carpet - it's all tile front to back. The dining area is situated in the great room / living room in a charming alcove below a window ideally situated over the driveway so you can stand up from the table every few minutes and make sure your Prius is still plugged in. The kitchen is, as you would expect in a home this smart, new, classic white, and galley style. Everyone knows stuff gets done in a galley kitchen. This one has lots of counter space for cooking or, if you don't cook, perhaps room for a wet puzzle or a workbench to rebuild your Harley clutch. The bathroom is breathtaking with recessed lighting which, by virtue of the angle of light, makes everyone look 9.5 years younger (or so we've been told). Fine tile adorns the walls with an accent tile band that is twice as wide as your typical accent tile band, which is twice as cool. Plus, a brushed nickel 24" towel bar that is designed for even the largest bath towels - so go crazy at Bed and Bath and buy the "big fluffer" towel! Three bedrooms that are big enough to do their job without being so big you stumble around each morning bumping into walls, blinded by that crusty stuff you get in your eyes each night, as you search for the door to get to the kitchen for some badly needed coffee. Now, love it upstairs? Head downstairs and you realize you've got double the space. It's like getting two houses for the price of one, if the second house just had four cement walls and a furnace and water heater in the middle of it. But, still, the extra space is bright and clean like a blank canvas you can make into your own masterpiece. Fenced backyard allows you to unleash your pet bobcats or pet children. Plenty of room for a garage down the road. New windows too. Great house that someone smart will nab. Probably should be you.
