1860s Federal style townhouse, completely rebuilt in 2001, and continuously updated and refurbished since. Like-new condition with state-of-the art systems. The overall effect is a house with the grace, scale and proportions of a period home with the clean lines and modern infrastructure of a new house. First floor: The light-filled living room has grand proportions and features a wood-burning fireplace. It seamlessly connects with the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is outfitted with Bulthaup B3 cabinetry and Gaggenau 400 series appliances - 36" flex induction cooktop, 30" oven, combi-microwave oven and warming drawer, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The living room and kitchen open to a 325 square foot terrace. The first-floor is ideally suited for informal daily living as well as entertaining. The second floor is comprised of family room, powder room and Master bedroom suite. The family room has generous proportions and fireplace. It is bathed in northern and western light. French doors lead to a beautifully fabricated Juliet balcony. The MBR suite is equipped with built-in closets echoing the historic fabric of the home and a luxurious master bath with Agape soaking tub, large walk-in shower, custom double vanity and linen closet. The third floor is comprised of two large bedrooms, two master-quality bathrooms, and Miele laundry facilities. The fourth floor features a large home office, with unobstructed western and southern views. There is an adjoining kitchenette/dining area equipped with Bulthaup cabinetry, sub-zero under-counter fridge/freezer, and 18" miele dishwasher. The terrace area is 325 square feet landscaped with a Blue Atlas Cedar, Japanese Maple and potted plants. There is secure parking for one car adjacent to the terrace. The terrace/parking areas could be reconfigured to accommodate 2-car parking. The terrace and parking areas were repaved in 2019 with black-grey Pennsylvania slate, and both are equipped with a snow melt system. The house was completely rewired in 2001, and lighting controls were recently upgraded to Lutron Homeworks. Art and task lighting throughout the house were specified by lighting design specialists.
