55+ Community Regarding the Solar Panels on Enchantment Pass they were installed by a private solar company at the time of new build through Meritage Homes. The solar company is no longer in business.

The owner stated he is grandfathered in with the local electric company ED3 at no service fee.

He does not have a maintenance plan or warranty.

He also stated the panels produce about $1.00 per day.

His monthly winter electric bill is around $125.00.

He has mostly LED light bulbs and in most rooms including the pantry, closets and the garage are on a motion sensor so they automatically turn on when entering the room and turn off automatically so lights are not left on.

In the summer the home stays vacant and he keeps the thermostat at 90 degrees and the summer monthly bills are around $40.00 with no one living there.
