Today, the economy of the Village is based on small businesses, logging and year round tourism. There are many lakes nearby. Two Township parks are located at Buck Lake and Stager Lake for picnics, swimming and fishing. Buck Lake has Walleye, Northern, Largemouth bass, and Panfish. Stager Lake is a Walleye and Northern lake. Alpha Creek, a Type 1 Trout creek circle around the eastern side of the Village. There are large tracts of woodlands in the area provide hunting for Black bear and Whitetail deer, and an active Rifle and Pistol Club is located just outside of town. A main North-South Multi-Use State Trail, which connects to trail in Wisconsin can be accessed a few miles away. The home offered for sale has been in one family for many years.
