The home is 2x4 construction and has polyurethane in the walls and roof. It is more insulated than normal 2x6 walls and is super tight. We added extra insulation to the home and garage. There are 4 decks on the house with the main entrance being one. It was professionally built and all of the decks are on concrete pilings with adjustable deck blocks. The grass is pure Kentucky bluegrass, not Alaska Mix. When it is taken good care of it looks great. The shed on the left side of the house is portable and can be pulled anywhere on the yard. It sits on the property line and that is why it is/was portable. The neighbors on that side haven't been home in 20 years and never made mention of it since they never use that property line.
The homes bedrooms have doors on the back. We did this for fire safety and everyone always used the back yard. The kids loved it. The windows were all replaced two years ago when it was remodeled. The appliances are from Allen and Peterson. The floors are all 5 quarter (1.25) thick. They are very strong. The concrete in the garage is at least 5 inches thick with mesh. Also, very strong. There has never been any moisture in the crawl space. Even the mailbox is made out of heavy steel. No kids are gonna bust it. The furnace is awesome and we left a new water heater in the shed side I had an extra one. All the kitchen has under cabinet lighting and new wiring. All the fans, outlets, switches are new. There is an exterior outlet and switch by the bathroom upstairs so you can turn on your car heater without going outside. The bbq works out front but need to be reconnected to gas. The trees were cleared from around the house for fire safety.
The house has rights to Cottonwood Lake. The lake is full of fish and is a perfect spot for ice fishing and for the kids to go swimming. The kids could walk down the drive, across the hill and to the lake. The bus service stops in front of the property. The neighborhood is awesome and the gravel road helps keep the traffic slowed down. The kids, neighbors, etc are always walking to and fro. It is about a 10 min walk up to the store. The plow hits the road quite regularly in the summer and winter.
