Back in the 70s Ward and Mary Ann,  who met at a dance when they were in high school, wanted to raise their family of twin daughters and two sons in the perfect spot in a great community and they found it!  They picked Forest Hills in Marriottsville because they loved the large spacious lots and how the neighborhood was large enough, but still tucked away from the hustle and bustle.  With friends and family looking on, they designed the home with the most perfect layout. There are photos in the kitchen of when it was being built! It's a sprawling ranch home with over 3500 finished square feet of living space, with a huge family room with the the most unique floor to ceiling window.  They were reflecting back at how all the neighborhood kids would come over and they'd sit by that beautiful window and all would sing Bye Bye Miss American pie as it played on the record player.  They had many, many friends over for the house is ideal for parties.  The large dining room, ginormous kitchen are perfect for those that like to entertain.  The  family designed the lower level recreation room after the house was built and it was perfect for dance parties as Ward, a DJ, entertained friends and neighbors on the weekends. And there is plenty of room down there for a pool table, ping pong table, you name it!.  And boy did the kids love that rear yard.  You truly will find none like it.  Says 1.5 acres, but feels like 3 acres to me! The kids would ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, and play team sports all day long as Mom could easily watch from that kitchen window that she loved.   And we love how the home is expansive and all of the bedrooms were strategically places at one end of the home away from all of the actives going on in the home.   Then as the kids grew up, the massive garage became a hangout for all the friends to work on and show off their fancy, sporty cars.  And wait till you see the long driveway, perfect for when you have lots of friends over!
