Location: I truly loved living in this home from the time of its completion to the day I had to move. I was far enough away from the streets of Lake Otis and O'Brien that the sound of vehicles were never an issue for me and never violated the strict mandatory crew rest I incurred as an USAF aircrew member. My balcony provides me with a great vantage point of the neighborhood and a relaxing view of the mountains in the east.
Living on the south side of the street I always welcomed the warm sun in the evening as the day cooled off. The large windows invited vast beams of light into the spacious living area, providing an extra air of simple elegance. I was greeted each morning by the sun, and restfully put to sleep as the sun set on the other side of the home each night. This inviting, luxurious feeling cannot be found in the homes across the street as my neighbors were constantly forced to keep their blinds closed throughout the day in order to prevent and combat the bright sun and hot, uncomfortable heat pouring into their houses during the summer days, and required dark shades in their bedrooms each night to help them sleep.
The Zion neighborhood serves as a pocket of modern luxury surrounded on three sides by trees. A quiet, and friendly church resides across the street and Whisper Faith Kovach Park is a short, enjoyable stroll from this home.
Multiple families with children aging from 2-18 years old have resided in the Zion Ct neighborhood. The neighborhood is designed in such a way that younger children were able to spend their time playing in the neighborhood or Whisper Faith Kovach Park without fear of vehicular traffic or animals. The older children had walking distance access to the Lake Otis/Abbott shopping area to occupy their time as they desired.
Transportation: With Lake Otis on one side, Lore Rd leading directly to the New Seward highway on the other, you are able to travel to any place in Anchorage within 15 minutes even with traffic. This convenient access to the highway is further enhanced by Dowling Rd to Elmore Rd or the bridge to Minnesota.
Entrance Tile: Entering into the dark, natural looking and Tuscan street inspired tile entryway serves as an inviting transition from the busy life outside to a quieter, more reserved place where a person can truly feel welcomed home. The tiles roughened texture assures you with a sense of sure footedness even when wet, but are as easy to clean as the simple brushing off of the stone walkways in a quiet town.
Hollywood Style Carpeted Stairs: You are greeted and welcomed with an inviting stairway to the rest of the home. Carefully wrapped stairs are not only visually elegant, but also ensure a comfortable and well fitted Berber carpeted journey into and out of the home. This stylish carpeting is all new and further enhanced by plush, upgraded padding throughout the home to the topmost floor. Not only is the carpeting new, but high quality interior paint has been freshly applied throughout all aspects of entire home to further enhance the fresh, clean lines in the home's design.
Bar Counter Lighting and Cabinets: The clean, crisp linen and brushed steel lines are a perfect marriage of the living area elements with the tall, warm, customized dark cabinets accented with horizontally reeded inset glass. The bright LED bulbs subdued by the linen enclosures brighten the entire living space for a natural and encompassing look as they are further accented in the gleaming, slick polished granite countertops; providing a truly enjoyable and well-lit living space for all moments.
Polished Granite Countertops: The glasslike, polished granite are not only incredibly easy to clean, but with the simple wipe of a damp cloth and you are transported to a level of living normally reserved solely for the elite, each and every day.
Bathroom Lighting: The art deco styled fixtures are reminiscent of old world luxury and the warm glow from the halogen bulbs are bright enough for meticulous attention to detail, but never overpower your senses even in the darkest of winter mornings.
Shower Tile: The darker, natural looking large tile walk-in shower brings a touch of the Alaska mountainous terrain into the home, allowing a person to both be invigorated for the day ahead as well as relaxed for the evening's close under a rain shower in this grotto inspired space which perfectly ties to the entryway's design.
Lighted Ceiling Fans: As hotter summer days approach, the warmest sections of the home have been upgraded with professionally installed quiet and modern art deco ceiling fans to provide a comfortable breeze to sustain comfort without the racket of lesser quality equipment. While the downstairs office/bedroom is traditionally wired and operated, the master bedroom is further equipped with built in light dimming buttons and fan control.
Garage: The contrasting, painted beams provides a warm, finished feeling that this is not just a location to store items, but to comfortably enjoy and explore them. The large L-shaped space invites one to spend some time designing new projects, tackling to do lists, and exploring new ideas on the chalkboard wall while utilizing the 220v and USB outlets provides creative opportunity in the flexible work and storage space the garage provides.
Plumbing Manifold: Located inside the utility room on the opposite wall from the furnace, the plumbing manifold allows quick and easy access and control over every water line running through the home.

The top of the line, Wi-Fi enabled DC powered garage door opener provides smooth, quiet operation. You know when the door is opened, but are never accosted by the sound of its operation. For the person on the go, being able to access/control it from a distance provides peace of mind in an otherwise hectic lifestyle.
