Rent includes groceries and food as well as other amenities like wifi, multiple large common spaces, and a beautiful backyard garden. Cloyne hosts regular social events and has communal dinners 5-6 nights a week. Come join this vibrant community! Cloyne is a housing cooperative and keeps rents low by having residents do workshift (cooking and cleaning) a few hours a week.

Room Only Houses: $1,204 per 6-week session, $2,408 full summer

Room & Board Houses: $1,619 per 6-week session, $3,238 full summer


The Berkeley Student Cooperative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit housing cooperative.

Our mission is to provide a quality, low-cost, cooperative housing community to university students, thereby providing an educational opportunity for students who might not otherwise be able to afford a university education.

Founded in 1933, the BSC is the largest student housing cooperative in the United States.

We order all waitlists based on the date the registration fee is paid and any priority a person has. Housing priority is given to: EOP, Students with Disabilities, Transfer Students, and EAP students however all students are most likely able to get a spot.
