About Parkside Terrace

Parkside Terrace is a new community that opened in October 2017. Parkside Terrace is immediately adjacent to the City of Hobbs’ historic main street district, bringing new housing downtown, and it will support and encourage commercial activity in the area and build upon civic pride in a redeveloping historic core. The project is one block from Broadway, the main commercial street in the downtown district and across the street from a new Boys and Girls Club facility. The site is exceptionally well served by supportive retail and service businesses, public transportation and civic/cultural amenities. In addition to bringing a new resident population, the project contributes to the vitality of the downtown district by creating a new outdoor civic space with amenities for the community. This space contains a multi-purpose surface for children to play on while also being adaptable for farmers markets, fairs, festivals and events of all types. The city will construct a new “splash pad” fountain alongside that, together with the Boys and Girls Club and adjacent preschool, creates a true activity zone downtown.
