Enchanted Rock, a geological marvel located in central Texas, is just minutes away from Rockview Cabin 1. This massive pink granite dome rises over 400 feet above the surrounding terrain, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Hill Country landscape. From hiking to stargazing, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area invites adventurers to explore its rugged beauty and experience the enchantment of the Texas wilderness. Be sure to reserve a pass prior to your trip on the Park's website, as park passes are reserved quickly and it is worth seeing up close. Nearby, you can also explore charming wineries, Fredericksburg restaurants, scenic views, hiking trails, state parks, and hunting sites.
The primary guest must be at least 21 years old and present for the entire reservation. No smoking is allowed on the premises inside or outside, and parties are not permitted. Pets are not allowed in cabin 1. Guests must stay within the yard boundaries of their dwelling due to hunters, other properties, snakes, and rough terrain. A fire pit and BBQ grill are available for guest use, but guests must bring their own supplies, extinguish any flames or coals after use, and adhere to any county burn ban in effect. Fireworks and the use of firearms or weaponry onsite are prohibited. Lighting candles inside the property is not allowed for safety reasons. Additional fees may be incurred if personal items are left behind, and a $50 replacement fee per key applies if keys are not returned to the lockbox. This is a dark sky community, so please shut off any lights when not in use. The property is on well water, and with the extreme heat and current drought, the water pressure is low. Please be mindful of water use and shower one at a time. The rural location may have limited cell phone and delivery services, and wildlife such as birds, reptiles, and deer are common. To manage bugs, keep windows and doors closed and use the bug spray provided under the sink. Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 7:00.
