home, which was built in 1984, is conveniently located across the Venezia Park on Venice Island
within close distance to the beach, downtown, restaurants, shops, banks and
entertainment venues. You can bike everywhere on and around Venice Island along the Intracoastal
Waterway Park and even to Sarasota along the Legacy Trail. The main house (2,048 sq ft) has two
master suites, a guest bedroom/office and two bathrooms and a half sitting on one side of the heated
pool whereas the mother-in-law suite comprised of a bedroom, a full size bathroom and a walk-in
closet, occupies a separate building (400 sq ft) on the other side of the pool. The central area of the
house including a dining room facing the front yard, a living room facing the pool and a huge family
room with cathedral ceilings next to the kitchen with stainless steel appliances is the open space to
entertain guests. Ceramic tiles laid in a diagonal pattern cover the floor throughout the house except
in the bedrooms where the flooring is carpet. The laundry room is located adjacent to the attached
insulated and air conditioned two car garage. The gross area under roof is 3,036 sq ft. A park-like
landscaping surrounds the whole compound (9,100 sq ft). The center piece of the front yard is a Royal
Poinciana tree surrounded by fragrant Crinum Lilies which flower throughout the year whereas a
mature mango tree, a banana tree and a fruit bearing Papaya tree are in the backyard surrounded by
more Crinum Lilies. The fiberglass pool (which requires only a small amount of chemicals for
maintenance) with the surrounding concrete deck and the aluminum screened enclosure were added in
2005. The mother-in-law suite was finished in 2006. The new double pane tempered glass windows
were installed in 2010. The siding of the front of the house was replaced in 2010. A whole house water
filtration system was installed in 2014. A new AC system was installed in 2019. The main house has
also a central vacuum cleaner system, which eliminates the noise and the exhausted dusted air inside
the house. In 2021 the City of Venice was ranked a “Best Beach Town to Live In” in a study from
personal finance website WalletHub, coming in at #14 on a list of 191 cities and No. 3 in a listing of
100 popular destinations among those looking to relocate conducted by MoveBuddha, which provides
moving estimates and in 2015 was recognized as one of the two top “Happiest Coastal Towns” by the
