For access from the DC area, the Rt 93 exit from Corridor H (Rt 48) is just 7-minutes from The Preserve entry gate. Warm-water Mt Storm Lake is a 15-minute drive from The Preserve and offers swimming, SCUBA diving and boating. 15-minutes beyond the lake (30-min from The Preserve), you'll find lots to do in the artsy-recreational twin towns of Davis and Thomas for snow skiing, biking, hiking, coffee shops, live music, fun eateries, plus Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks.
