Close to JBER, shopping, theater, & schools.When we bought this as our first home, we were newlyweds, had no children, and were looking for a place that we could invest in to build equity for our future. We fell in love with this home once we saw the layout and the view. It was exactly what we were looking for. Our yard backs up against Baxter Bog, which makes it feel like we live in a quiet, rural area while having the convenience of living in the city. Our master bedroom has an amazing view of the mountains and trees behind us. It feels like a tranquil getaway. Another thing we love about our home is the layout - with two stories, it feels much more like home than the apartment-style condos that were in our price range. When we bought it, the property needed some updating and TLC. We got to experience the thrill of renovation when we remodeled the kitchen and upstairs bathroom, replaced the boiler, water heater, and all other major appliances, insulated the crawl space, replaced the front door, refurbished the front walkway, and replaced the downstairs flooring. We've enjoyed renovating nearly every room to make it ours, while keeping the feel of the home neutral enough to appeal to future buyers. We have also enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, easy access to walking trails, friendly neighbors, and convenient location. Now that the needs of our family have changed, we hope this will be called home by someone who will enjoy it for many years.
