This c1815 antique home was meticulously restored in 2019. Great effort was taken to be faithful to the original design of the house. The house was jacked up and the stone foundation was replaced with poured concrete creating a dry basement. A new Fugitsu heat pump furnace was installed. The house was resided with Maine made clapboards and painted with 5 coats of long lasting organic linseed oil paint. All windows were replaced by 12 over 8 double hung windows in the style of the original house. New additions to the house include a four season sunporch, a deck with covered area, and another full bath. There are new electrical and plumbing systems. Th charming new interiors have custom cabinetry and refinished wood floors. The first floor has a back to front living room with a gas stove, eat in kitchen with a gas range, sunroom, and full bath. The second floor has a large master bedroom, guest room and full bath.
A short stroll from the house is the town wharf on the banks of the Cathance River
