The house with a history. It belonged to a long time former mayor of Nelsonville, Wilbur Mender. The Stahl's motto is preservation and restoration and that is exactly what they have done to this charming Victorian cottage. It has taken two years to complete and the finished product is nothing short of spectacular. They have preserved the original windows by restringing and reglazing. The original floors, doors and woodwork have been refinished bringing them new life. The original wrap around porch couldn't be saved so they found someone to rebuild it. What couldn't be preserved in the original house has been enhanced by things saved from other places. Every piece has a story. There are so many wonderful touches to the house that you simply must see them to appreciate it. New electric, plumbing, HVAC and hot water tank make the house worry free. If you like things that nobody else has this is the house for you. Let's not forget that adorable barn. It would make the perfect artist's studio!
