For access from the DC area, the Rt 93 exit from Corridor H (Rt 48) is just 7-minutes from The Preserve entry gate. Warm-water Mt Storm Lake is a 15-minute drive from The Preserve and offers swimming, SCUBA diving and boating. 15-minutes beyond that (30-min from The Preserve), you'll find lots to do in the artsy-recreational twin towns of Davis and Thomas for snow skiing, sledding, biking, hiking, coffee shops, live music, fun eateries, plus Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks. This place is worth a trip to see! Just over 2-hrs from DC Beltway by I-66 and US-48. The Preserve is a nature lover's paradise. Plan ahead with proper attire and I can show you some hiking trails. The Preserve is a spectacular location for self-quarantining, for family safety.
