About This Home

This property is located in Bastian, VA in Bland County. In 1964 it was originally built as a restaurant called the Corner Diner. The diner was not only a favorite stop for the local community but it severed numerous customers hiking the Appalachian Trail. Access to the Appalachian Trail is less than 2 miles across the mountain. Since early 1990 after the restaurant closed it was a residence. I'm sure still to this day any local resident of Bland County would say the memories made at this property were endless. Most any Sunday afternoon you could hear the sound of fiddle, banjo and guitars just to name a few of the bluegrass instruments for miles with musicians from 5-7 states as the porch and parking lot was filled. It was the site for several National Public Radio recordings.
