Kitchen counter tops were constructed in the back yard and have no chemicals used on them-just bee's wax from the hive behind the house. (Hive can be relocated but does produce at least 50lbs of honey every year). The kitchen cabinet handles were hand forged from scrap copper taken from the house during renovation. Stained glass windows were handmade. The frame from the kitchen island was from flotsam after hurricane Mathew, found on Hutchinson Island. Tiki bar overhead light hand made from a pallet. Palm fronds from Carlin Park. Outside door is hand constructed. Shutters are all hand-made from pressure treated wood. All bamboo was harvested from the neighbor's backyard. The door on slider in master bedroom is from a barn in NH and the wood was taken from a boat building shop. The board on the wall in master bedroom where clothes are hung was found in Hobe Sound at Perck'/s Lake. The seashells seen in the house were mostly from Jupiter area over the years. The pantry wood door with leaded glass windows was from a remodeled church. There are other stories but these are the main points. There are multiple fruit-producing plants on the property.
