--AU Park Transportation & Location--
There is no Metro stop in the American University Park neighborhood. Still, Tenleytown-American University Station on the Red Line is just a few blocks east, and Friendship Heights Station on the same line is a little farther away to the north. There are also Metrobus lines that service the perimeter of the area. The Chain Bridge into Virginia and the George Washington Memorial Parkway are less than four miles to the southwest. Massachusetts Ave NW provides an excellent direct route into downtown DC and River Rd NW. Near Wisconsin Ave NW offers direct roads to the Capital Beltway, less than five miles away.
