Jackson Hole, WY (January 7, 2013) – The iconic 204-room Snow King Hotel in Jackson Hole, Wyoming announces it will undergo a $16-million renovation of its rooms, meetings space, exterior, public space, spa and salon. The complete overhaul will also include a significant re-branding of its restaurant and the addition of a year-round Activity Center, state-of-the-art Business Center and fitness room.
The hotel will remain open and in operation during the renovation, which will be conducted in three phases in order to minimize impact on guests. The process began in late November 2012 with select exterior work. The interior, three-phase process began in late December 2013 and is expected to be fully completed in early June 2013. Details of the renovation are as follows:
The exterior of Snow King received new paint, a new roof and redesigned exterior entryway. In the public spaces, the Front Desk will be redesigned as more open and accessible in order to create a better connection with guests. Seating in the waiting area will be expanded and receive a new Concierge Desk. The Lobby will receive new furniture and updated soft goods, new carpet, paint, window treatments and artwork.
The Pool Area will offer expanded seating surrounding the immediate pool area along with additional seating on the grassy knoll above pool deck, which will be outfitted with lounge chairs and fire pits. Significant changes to all Guestrooms include new beds and soft goods, new furniture, carpet, paint wall décor and updated bathrooms. Technology will be enhanced with flat screen televisions, modern refrigerators and a state-of-the-art phone system.
Meetings at Snow King will be enhanced significantly with an increased 100MB bandwidth throughout the hotel, ensuring seamless integration of meetings technology and various personal technology devices, such as smartphones, laptops and tablets. The interiors to all function rooms will receive new carpet, window treatments, paint and artwork.
The direction and culinary vision of the Restaurant is being developed currently and will continue to offer an approachable dining experience. The atmosphere will be casual with elevated service levels, showcasing Western hospitality and catering to both hotel guests and locals. Significant structural changes include the joining of the current restaurant with an adjacent private dining space in order to create one seamless dining room and bar. This, and the addition of a floor-to-ceiling window design, will provide 240-degree views of the mountain and scenery. Capacity will be 150 indoor seating in the restaurant, 20 additional seats in the Bar area and 90 outdoor seats on the redesigned deck.
New guest amenities will include a year-round, fully-outfitted Activity Center, offering ski, snowboard, mountain bike and other rentals, as well as information on nearby trails, hikes and the plethora of outdoor activities offered immediately surrounding the hotel and in the Jackson Hole area. Snow King will add a Fitness Center, featuring state-of-the-art equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bicycles and free weights. The current Olga’s Day Spa will be redesigned and expanded to three treatment rooms, a sauna and separate his/hers locker rooms. The redesigned Salon will expand to 5 chairs and offer additional salon services. Finally, the hotel will invest in a state-of-of-the-art Business Center featuring new computers and Wi-Fi ready printers.
