I often hear people describe a house as “Solidly Built.” No truer comment could be made about 536 Pershing Blvd. The home was built around 1960 and the builder used stone and brick from the foundation to the second floor. The present owner was a skilled mason and his brickwork is evident throughout the property. He did not like the stone and block look so he covered it in brick. He then added a brick rear patio with brick flower beds. In the 1990’s he added a two-car detached garage and covered that in brick as well. Other features include a spacious eat-in kitchen with Old Mill cabinets, a separate dining room, and a large living room. many of the floors are solid hardwood throughout the home. The basement is partly finished and has a wood-burning fireplace with, you guessed it, a brick wall surround. The laundry, utility area, storage room, and a full shower are also located in the basement area. there are three bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor. In total, there is an estimated 1,800 square feet of living space, including the finished basement area. The rear yard is nice and has a large shed on a permanent foundation for additional storage, The two-car garage also has walk-up stairs to additional attic storage space.
