This historic 10.33 acre mine property is located on the Iron Edge cliff formation that bears it's name. A small meadow looks to the east and offers unobstructed 180 degree views of the mountain peaks from Craig peak to the north, to Gold Dust peak, Eagle peak, and Fools peak to the south. It is a rare and truly unique private property with stunning views across the upper East Brush Creek valley of the nearby Holy Cross Wilderness. No other buildable private property exists in the area that has such amazing wilderness views.It is surrounded by US Forest Services lands and approximately 1/2 mile from FR 416 which provides seasonal access to the area. It is west of and outside the wilderness area boundary and 1/2 mile north of the popular Peter Estin hut. The present owner acquired the property in 1985 and it sparked his interest in local mining history. He is the author of the book ''Boom Town to Ghost Town - The Story of Fulford'' which mentions the Iron Edge Lode property. He has also researched and written a short history of the Iron Edge Lode mining activities conducted from 1887 to 1894.
