The previous owners and a cousin of his who is a neighbor (96 yrs. old) said that their grandfather bought the place in 1900, but the home dates to the 1820s. We preserved the original elements, including three hand-hewn doors and a large window upstairs. Barn has 2 stalls and can hold enough hey to feed 2 horses all winter.
