Recently renovated in 2019, this historically significant building was once home to the largest silk manufacturer of women’s hosiery in the world. Paul Guenther, a German immigrant originally working within a silk mill in Paterson, ventured to Dover and built this building and homes surrounding it to house his employees. The architectural keystone displayed at the top of what is now the residential entrance of Guenther Mill Apartments signifies the completion of the building in “1909.” Having recently purchased and renovated the building, Guenther Mill Urban Renewal, LLC is proud to have brought it back to its grandeur on the building’s 110th year anniversary.
